'Accepted Everywhere'

Originally, when thinking about the claim ‘Accepted Everywhere’ I was sure it was the slogan of a specific credit card from across the pond. But then in a moment of doubt, was it in the design of another. So after exhausting google and academic research sites it seems that the belief of being ‘Accepted Everywhere’ is ubiquitous within so many marketing claims. So why is there an increasing need for organisations to ensure their offer is simply to be ‘Accepted Everywhere’?

Perhaps the real benefit of being ‘Accepted Everywhere’ is the tangible benefit(s) that the product/offering/experience is providing its owner over and above the situation they are realising currently.

Where may the benefit(s) reside:

• Collaboration when you didn’t know it was required
• Enhancing your existing experience
• Non-disruption to your activities
• Providing additional indirect benefits
• User friendly experience.

In the consumer world, brands such as credit cards claim [indirectly] that their offerings are accepted everywhere. Their collaboration with their business partners makes them the obvious choice when paying for your experience with a card.

In the IT world collaboration is gaining traction as a necessity where organizations no longer have the time, budget or resources to continually rip and replace technology (software or hardware) as a way to maintain levels of conformity and technological advancement.
